UntitledAlisdair fired off a few more rounds, and ducked underneath the countertop. The shelves behind him were riddled with bullets. The counter before him was riddled with bullets. In fact, he noted detachedly, everything here seems to be riddled with bullets. He nonchalantly pulled the empty cartridge out of his pistol, and retrieved another from his seemingly endless supply of ammunition. Shot after shot, he picked off his attackers, knowing that in the end they would probably overrun his hideout. centuries-strong, like toes of giants. Trunk –
aged pillar swayed by the winds sent from heaven, His branches –
arms of might
spreading to the sky above And his layered leaves are soft fingers of jade outstretched in the falling twilight eagerly thirsty for starlight.
And there she sits...And there she sits… As usual, the girl was seated in front of a glowing computer monitor, typing away. This was where she came to escape. To talk to her only real friends. To talk to the only people who mattered. The outside world was cruel. Cruel and heartless. They rejected her there. To Them, she was just another “little person” to be crushed underfoot and left lying. To Them, she had no feelings. No emotions. No independent thought; even though the truth of it was that she alone was the only one capable of independent thought. They didn’t know though. They truly thought They were free… So tAnd there she sits...
